Sixfold Ranch

In Fairfield, Idaho this family raises heritage breed Scottish Highland Cattle on their regenerative ranch. They are building their home with their bare hands and a whole lot of grit and good humor, through all the crazy weather Idaho can throw at them. Oh- and they also have beef shares for sale, homeschool, care for at least 15 animals on the ranch, are building a website, have amazing and interesting kids, and laugh easily.

I drove over beautiful windy roads dotted with trees with yellow leaves and down dirt roads to photograph this family and their literal labor of love.
